81- Proofing your Work Play Video

Options that you can see when you want to view your informations before representing it to other people:

·     Make sure that nothing of your information is hidden

·     if it is hidden simply you’ve got to adjust the column width

·     The easy way is to move your cursor to the top of the column by clicking and dragging it to fit the cell and you can see your whole information expanded.

Another look about the expanded list:        

·     highlight all the table

·     go back to your outline group

·     use the expand or show details command by clicking on the little bottom

·     you can see the expanded data shown

·     if you want to see the rest of the data simply click on the plus sign to expand it all

Next go to the review tab:

·     click the check the spelling option

·     the dictionary shows you the suggestions for mistakes

·     click ignore all

·     if you want to take the suggestions click on change

*          also you can use the research options which allows me to reference materials such as dictionaries and encyclopedias as a translations services

*          also I can use the treasures so that I make sure that I’m not repeating myself

*          Also you can use the translation options in an excel spredsheet.

82- Providing comments on Worksheets Play Video

In Microsoft Office Excel, you can add a note to a cell by inserting a comment. You can edit the text in comments and delete comments that you no longer need.

Example of worksheet comment

Add a comment:

1)  Click the cell that you want to add a comment to.

2)  On the Review tab, in the Comments group, click New Comment.

3)  In the comment text box, type the comment text.

·     In a comment, Excel automatically displays the name that appears in the Name box under Global Office Settings on the Personalize category of the Excel Options dialog box (Microsoft Office Button Button image , Excel Options button). If needed, you can edit the name in the Name box. If you don't want to use a name, select it in the comment, and then press DELETE.

4)  To format the text, select it, and then use the formatting options on the Home tab in the Font group.

·     The Fill Color and Font Color options in the Font group are not available for comment text. To change the color of the text, right-click the comment, and then click Format Comment.

5)  When you finish typing and formatting the text, click outside of the comment box.

Ø A small red triangle in the corner of the cell indicates that the cell has a comment attached to it. When you rest the pointer over the red triangle, the comment is displayed.

Edit a comment:

1)  Click the cell that contains the comment that you want to edit.

2)  Do one of the following:

§  On the Review tab, in the Comments group, click Edit Comment.

 Note    Edit Comment is available in the Comments group instead of New Comment when a cell that contains a comment is selected.

§  On the Review tab, in the Comments group, click Show/Hide Comment to display the comment, and then double-click the text in the comment.

3)  In the comment text box, edit the comment text.

4)  To format the text, select it, and then use the formatting options on the Home tab in the Font group.

Delete a comment:

1)  Click the cell that contains the comment that you want to delete.

2)  Do one of the following:

§  On the Review tab, in the Comments group, click Delete.

§  On the Review tab, in the Comments group, click Show/Hide Comment to display the comment, double-click the comment text box, and then press DELETE.
