21- Creating new presentations Play Video

§  Click the Microsoft Office Button Button image , and then click New.

§  Under Templates, you see options you can use to create:

§  A blank document, workbook, or presentation.

§  A document, workbook, or presentation from a template.

§  A new document, workbook, or presentation from an existing file

 

22- Adding and removing slides Play Video

Add a new slide:

1-  On the Home tab, in the Slides group, click New Slide.

2-  Select a slide thumbnail from the layout gallery.

Delete a slide

1-  To delete a slide from a presentation, do the following:

2-  Right-click the slide that you want to delete, and then click Delete Slide.

3-  Tip To select multiple sequential slides, click the first slide, and then hold down SHIFT while you click the last slide that you want to select. To select multiple inconsequential slides, hold down CTRL while you click each slide that you want to select.

 

23- Rearranging slides Play Video

1-  When you create a presentation, you may want to change the order of your slides.

2-  In the pane that contains the Outline and Slides tabs, click the Slides tab.

3-  On the Home tab, select the slide thumbnails that you want to move, and then drag them to their new location.

4-  Tip To select multiple sequential slides, click the first slide, and then hold down SHIFT while you click the last slide that you want to select. To select multiple inconsequential slides, hold down CTRL while you click each slide that you want to select.

Duplicate slides within a presentation:

0-  Hide All Hide All

1-  To add a slide that contains the content of an existing slide in a presentation, you can duplicate the slide.

2-  In the pane that contains the Outline and Slides tabs, click the Slides tab.

3-  Select one or more slides that you want to duplicate.

4-  On the Home tab, in the Slides group, click New Slide.

5-  In the layout gallery, click Duplicate Selected Slides.

6-  Note    The duplicated slides are inserted directly below the lowermost slide that you selected.

24- Saving presentations Play Video

Save presentations:

1-  Save files in this format  To specify a default format for saving files, click one of the following in the list:

2-  PowerPoint Presentation This option saves your presentation as a Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 presentation, which is an enabled file format. Files of this format have the extension .pptx.

3-  PowerPoint Presentation 97-2003 This option saves your presentation as a presentation that you can open in earlier versions of PowerPoint, from PowerPoint 97 to Office PowerPoint 2003. Files of this format have the extension .ppt.

4-  Default file location Type the path to the location where you want to save your presentations.

Save a file:

Click the Microsoft Office Button Button image , and then click Save.

-     Keyboard shortcut To save the file, press CTRL+S.

-     Note    If you are saving the file for the first time, you are asked to give it a name.

 

Save a copy of a file:

1-  On the File menu, click Save As.

2-  In the Save in list, click the folder or drive to which you want to save.

3-  Tip To save the copy in a different folder, click a different drive in the Save in list or a different folder in the folder list. To save the copy in a new folder, click Create New Folder Button image .

4-  In the File name box, enter a new name for the file.

5-  Click Save.

 

25- Opening other files in PowerPoint Play Video

1-  In Office PowerPoint 2007, open the presentation that you want to save in a different file format.

2-  Click the Microsoft Office Button Button image , and then click Save As.

3-  In the File name box, enter a new name for the presentation, or do nothing to accept the suggested file name.

4-  In the Save as type list, select the file format that you want, and then click Save.
